Toronto police seek occupants of vehicle in fatal shooting of Shaka Reid

TORONTO – Toronto police have released security images of a vehicle they say was involved in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Shaka Reid last week.

The victim was shot just after midnight on Aug. 19 near the intersection of Dundas Street and Sherbourne Street.

Emergency crews arrived to find a male with a single gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a white-coloured new model Ford Taurus was parked in the area an hour prior to the shooting.

Detective Sergeant Mike Carbone told reporters during a press briefing Wednesday that four men exited the vehicle and one of them confronted Reid when he was fatally shot.
