Federal Election 2015: London West riding results

Summary: Conservative MP Ed Holder seeks re-election in London West, which had gone to the Liberals in 10 of 12 elections prior to Holder taking the seat in 2008.

Boundaries: The westernmost of London’s three ridings, this electoral district comprises all of London west of Wonderland Road, along with the areas surrounding Southcrest Estates to the south of Thames River.

Last Election: Holder was re-elected, defeating Liberal candidate Doug Ferguson by 17.7 per cent.

History: London West was held by Liberal MP Sue Barnes from 1993 to 2008 before she was defeated by Holder. Provincially, the riding has been held by NDP MPP Peggy Sattler since 2013.

Demographics: The median age is 40.4, the oldest in London.
