WINNIPEG — Multiple tornado warnings issued for southern Manitoba have ended.

Earlier in the day Environment Canada reported that a severe thunderstorm was heading east-northeast at around 35 km/h. The storm was capable of producing strong winds, large hail, heavy downpours and possibly tornadoes.

Earlier this afternoon Winnipeg was hammered with toonie size hail, much of it in St. Vital.
