Man thought to have brought shotgun into Penticton courthouse arrested

PENTICTON — The man allegedly responsible for bringing a loaded shotgun into the Penticton courthouse last month has been arrested.

Jessy Arthur Michaud, 46, is accused of bringing the firearm inside the justice building then tossing it in the brushes at the front of the courthouse.

Shortly after that alleged incident, Michaud was wanted for three outstanding warrants.

Police say they’ve arrested him at a local motel. Michaud’s next court appearance is August 19.
