Fan releases ‘We the North’-inspired video for Toronto Blue Jays

WATCH ABOVE: One Toronto sports fan remixed the popular “We The North” Toronto Raptors ad into a more baseball-centric version, featuring the newly-revamped Toronto Blue Jays.

TORONTO — A Humber College grad is going the extra mile to gain support for the Toronto Blue Jays’ playoff hopes, releasing a video similar to the one the Toronto Raptors’ used to promote the “We the North” campaign.

Scott Ewing released the video Wednesday and said it was inspired by the Raptors video released ahead of their playoff push last year, which he used the same music from.

“If this doesn’t get you jacked for the playoff push then you might want to consult a doctor … because you are dead” Ewing said in his video description.

The team made some impressive moves ahead of  the trade deadline last week, acquiring ace pitcher David Price, shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, and relief pitchers Mark Lowe and LaTroy Hawkins.

The Blue Jays are close to a wildcard spot and now trail the American League East-leading New York Yankees by 4.5 games for the division lead, after New York lost to Boston 2-1 on Wednesday.
