History: This region has been a Conservative strong-hold since 1968 with the exception of 1993, when PC incumbent Greg Thompson was defeated by Liberal Harold Culbert by just 811 votes. Thompson reclaimed the seat in 1997 and had held it until 2011, when Williamson replaced him. Graham, the NDP candidate, has run in each federal election since 2006.
Demographics: English is the mother tongue of 93.9 per cent of people, the highest number in New Brunswick.
