Calgary hail storm, flash flooding spurs #yycGoodDeed Good Samaritans

CALGARY- As emergency crews worked to rescue many Calgarians from flooded roadways and damaged homes, a hashtag to encourage community spirit was born on Tuesday night.

Starting at around 5:30 p.m., the storm impacted dozens of communities, leaving toonie-sized hail, flooded underpasses and blowing the roof off of a northeast complex. At the height of the storm, 35,000 Enmax customers were without power.
