WINNIPEG – The summer heat could become dangerous in parts of Manitoba Sunday as Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for several areas including Winnipeg.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach more than 30C plus extreme humidity values which will create humidex values of at least 40C in the afternoon.

Warm weather like this can cause dehydration, exhaustion or even heat stroke.
So far the affected areas are: Dugald, Beausejour, Grand Beach, Morden, Winkler, Altona, Emerson, Morris, Portage, Headlingley, Brunkild, Carman, Selkirk, Gimli, Stonewall, Woodlands, Eriksdale, Steinbach, St. Adolphe, Dominion City, Vita and Richer.
Environment Canada is also warning for severe thunderstorms in numerous cities across the province Sunday.
