Edmonton Oilers release season ticket prices for new downtown arena

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers have released season ticket prices at Rogers Place.

The new arena is offering 38 price points, which is major change from Rexall Place, which has offered eight.

Season seats in the second upper bowl of Rogers Place start at $1,950, which is cheaper than Rexall Place where a season ticket in the second upper bowl starts at $2,432. The most expensive season ticket in the second upper bowl in the downtown arena is $5,460.

Season tickets in the lower bowl of Rogers Place range from $4,825 to $7,090. The least expensive season ticket in the lower bowl of Rexall Place is currently $5,248.

However, fans who are looking for premium options at the new arena will have to reach deeper into their pockets.

A theatre seating season ticket costs $23,000 and the purchaser has to commit to a three, five or seven-year term. These seats will be located above the lower bowl, with each Theatre Box providing armchairs and cushioned bar stools. Season ticket holders in the boxes will also be provided with meal and beverage service and an underground park space.

Loge Ledge Seats are priced at $15,750 per seat plus the cost of Oilers playoffs. These seats overlook the lower bowl, and feature two tiers of table seating. The seats are being sold on a three-year term. Loge Tables are priced the same as the Loge Seats but have the option of a three, five, or seven-year term.

Club Seats, which are located in the lower bowl in and around centre ice, vary from $8,000 to $10,420 per seat. Club Drink Rail Seats start at $9,300 and climb to $9,925 per seat.

The new arena will also offer the Sportsnet Club, which is a two-level club behind one of the goals just above the lower bowl. A season ticket in the club will cost between $10,625 and $11,075.

Rogers Place will also offer Drink Rail Seats, which range from $2,600 in the upper bowl to $7,375 in the lower bowl.

Season ticket holders at Rexall Place will have the first chance at purchasing season tickets at the new downtown arena. The season seat holder transition will take place between October and January.

The prices of suites haven’t been released, but Suiteholder Seat Transition to Rogers Place started this month and will continue through August.

Rogers Place is schedule to open for the start of the Oilers 2016/2017 season.
