TORONTO – No injuries were reported after a 3-alarm fire destroyed a home under construction in North York early Friday morning.
The blaze started just before 3 a.m. at a residence located on Joicey Blvd. near the Wilson Ave. and Avenue Rd. area.
Several homes nearby had to be evacuated as a precaution.
Firefighters have contained the fire but continue to remain at the scene.

Although the cause of the fire is unknown, police say it is being treated as suspicious.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified.
