MONTREAL – Quebec’s anti-corruption squad, UPAC, is searching four private residences and businesses, including that of Lachine Mayor Claude Dauphin and former Ville-Marie borough Mayor Sammy Forcillo.

About 50 officers participated in the raids Wednesday morning.

According to reports, the searches are connected to an investigation related to a $355 million water meter scandal.

The contract was given to Génieau back in 2007, a consortium of Dessau and Simard-Beaudry, but it was revoked two years later because of administrative irregularities and allegations of collusion and corruption.
