Cyclist in stable condition after collision in NDG

MONTREAL – An 18-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car in NDG.

He is in stable condition, but has head injuries.

The collision happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the corner of de Mayfair and Somerled avenues.

The young man was cycling up Mayfair against the traffic flow when he was hit by a car driven by a 56-year-old woman going west on Somerled.

The driver was not charged as the cyclist was going in the wrong direction and he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time.
