PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – A Peterborough man faces charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a young girl in the city.
Peterborough Police began an investigation last Friday after getting information about alleged sexual offences against a girl under the age of sixteen that began on May 13 and continued until last week.
They say the man and the victim knew each other.
Twenty-seven-year-old Ryan Dewagner was arrested on Tuesday and charged with sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age, sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was to appear in a Peterborough court on Wednesday.
