Alberta redirects $1M in cash seized from crooks to help communities battle gangs

EDMONTON – The Alberta government is redirecting $1 million to helping communities battle gang violence.

Premier Alison Redford says the one-time grants are aimed at programs in schools and community centres that can keep kids from losing themselves in gangs.
