22-year-old dies after motorcycle crash in Ajax

TORONTO –  Durham Police say a man is dead after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a SUV.

Officers responded to the crash on Rossland Rd. E at Salem Rd. N in Ajax just before 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Witnesses say a late model Yamaha Sport bike collided with a Ford Explorer, which rolled over before ending up in a ditch.

The 22-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital and then to a trauma centre in Toronto, where he died.

There are no other reported injuries.
