VANCOUVER – Hundreds of people are lining up in downtown Vancouver this morning, hoping to get their hands on some free cash.
The financial company Coast Capital is handing out 300 piggy banks to lucky recipients. Each one is filled with up to $1,000 and it’s first-come, first-served.
They say the giveaway is meant to symbolize the financial pressures Metro Vancouver residents are facing because of growing housing costs.
The giveaway is expected to last until 9 a.m.
