CALGARY – A bomb threat investigation at the Deer Valley Mall in the city’s southeast caused traffic disruptions on Wednesday afternoon, but a police search found nothing suspicious.
Police say the threat came into the Co-op Gas Bar at Canyon Meadows and Bow Bottom Trail S.E.
Officials sealed off the scene and closed some lanes of Canyon Meadows Drive while the search was underway. As of 7:35 p.m. the lanes, gas bar and surrounding businesses were in the process of being re-opened to public.
Calgary police say investigators are now trying to track down the caller who reported the bomb threat in order to determine his motivation.
