It’s been one month since 25-year-old Matthew Huszar went missing from Gastown, and his family is still waiting for any news about the whereabouts of their son and brother.
Huszar disappeared on the night of December 16 after attending his office Christmas party Downtown. He was last seen leaving the Lamplighter pub, where he went after the party, but saw a long lineup and decided not to go in.
He was walking east into Gastown, but has not been heard from or seen after that.
The young geology grad appeared to have everything to live for. Huszar had a good job, girlfriend and loving family. He had no known financial, mental health or drug problems.
Following Huszar’s disappearance, his friends put up missing person’s posters throughout the Downtown area. Police have been canvassing the neighbourhood for days, but were not able to generate any substantial leads.
Matthew Huszar is white, 5’11? tall, 160 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.
At the time of the disappearance, he was wearing black dress pants, a white and blue checked shirt, black shoes and a dark green tweed three-quarter-length coat with a coarse checked pattern.
Anyone who sees Huszar is asked to call 9-1-1. For more information about the search for Matthew, go to http://www.findmatthewhuszar.ca.
