EDMONTON – Edmonton police are putting additional resources towards traffic safety during the May long weekend.
The initiative is part of Canada Road Safety Week which aims at increasing awareness of risky behaviours on roads.
Police will focus on impaired driving, seatbelt use, aggressive driving and distracted driving.
“Traffic safety is a shared responsibility,” said Sgt. Bill Krull, EPS Specialized Traffic Apprehension Team.
“Make conscious, safe decisions every time you get behind the wheel.”
