CALGARY – A man is facing drug-related charges after an investigation in Calgary by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) led to the seizure of more than $50,000 worth of cocaine and fentanyl.

On May 1, ALERT seized more than 373 grams of cocaine as well as other drugs in Calgary.
Police believe the man was supplying drugs to street-level dealers in Lethbridge.
In addition to the cocaine, ALERT seized 310 fentanyl pills, six grams of methamphetamine, 42 unknown pills, body armour, a Ruger handgun with ammunition and $27,000 in cash, believed to be proceeds of crime.
Investigators also found evidence that a storage locker in a Calgary industrial area was being used to package and press cocaine.
Kousuke Kano, 28, is facing 11 drug and weapons related charges, including possession of cocaine and possession of the proceeds of crime.
