WINNIPEG – Canada’s bid for a berth in women’s volleyball at the London Olympics will take place this spring, more than three months after originally scheduled.
The NORCECA qualifying tournament will be held April 29 to May 5 in Tijuana, Mexico.

Tijuana had been scheduled to host the event this week, but it was postponed due to financial difficulties.
The tournament includes Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico and two other countries that are yet to be determined. The winner qualifies for the London Olympics.
The U.S. already qualified with a second-place finish at the World Cup and will not compete in Mexico.
