KELOWNA – A Kelowna man suffered smoke inhalation while trying to douse a fire Friday.
The fire department was called to a Harrop Avenue residence at about 11:15 a.m. where a hedge was on fire.

The flames had spread to a tent gazebo.
The man was given oxygen on scene because of breathing in smoke while fighting the flames with a garden hose.
Firefighters quickly finished the job upon their arrival.
The cause is under investigation.
