Charges laid after youth assaulted in road rage incident in Sherwood Park

EDMONTON — A 39-year-old Sherwood Park man is facing charges after a male youth was assaulted at a convenience store.

The youth was sent to hospital Monday evening after he was assaulted at the 7-Eleven on Cloverbar Road.

Strathcona County RCMP and EMS crews were called around 5:15 p.m. Police confirmed Friday the assault was related to a road rage incident.

Chadi Said Temraz has been charged with one count of aggravated assault. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.

The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries he sustained during the assault. He has since been released. His name has not been made public.
