Winnipeg man dies in motorcycle collision with deer

WINNIPEG – A 48-year-old Winnipeg man died Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed into a deer on Highway 322 north of Grosse Isle, Man.

Stonewall RCMP were called to the crash just before 10 p.m. A motorcycle was lying in the middle of the road and the rider was unconscious.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The rider was heading south and struck a deer on the road, police said. The deer was found dead in a ditch near the motorcycle.

The rider was wearing a helmet and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Police aren’t releasing his name.
