TORONTO – A Seattle-based architect is being praised for incorporating his passion for LEGO into an impressive basement remodel after video showcasing the final product went viral.
Jeffrey Pelletier is a licensed architect, principal and owner of BOARDandVELLUM, who also happens to own a brightly-coloured home on 15th Avenue East in Seattle, Washington.
He also loves LEGO… a lot.
“Since I was a little kid, I’ve always loved LEGO,” he told Houzz, a website dedicated to home design. “It’s probably the reason I’m an architect now — it just inspired me.”

During a 2013 remodel of the home, Pelletier built a space able to store his monstrous LEGO collection – close to a quarter-million pieces.
Custom-built shelves line a room decorated with container upon container filled with pieces of seemingly every colour, shape and variety.
Eyebrow-raising video showcasing the finished product was published last week by HouzzTV on YouTube and has been watched over 400,000 times at the time of this writing.
