LOS ANGELES – A small earthquake has rattled a wide swath of greater Los Angeles, shaking buildings downtown.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.6 quake hit at 7:01 a.m. near Carson.

Los Angeles police say there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
There were hundreds of reports on the Geological Survey’s website of people feeling the quake.
