Jonathan Denis loses seat in Calgary-Acadia in 2015 Alberta election

CALGARY – Progressive Conservative MLA Jonathan Denis lost his seat in the riding of Calgary-Acadia during Tuesday’s 2015 Alberta election.

The former justice minister and was beat by NDP candidate Brandy Payne.

The loss came just one day after a judge revoked a restraining order placed against Denis by his estranged wife.

Denis was forced to resign as justice minister and solicitor general when legal proceedings with his wife started at the end of April.

  • Liberal: Nicholas Borovsky
  • NDP: Brandy Payne
  • Wildrose: Linda Carlson
