TORONTO – A Baltimore woman is being hailed as ‘mother of the year’ by some after video captured her slapping and scolding her son for taking part in Baltimore riots Monday afternoon.
According to ABC Baltimore, the mother saw her son throwing rocks at police as chaos erupted in the streets of downtown Baltimore, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
The woman is seen on video dragging her son, who was dressed in black with his face covered, away from the police as she repeatedly smacks him upside the head.
The woman continues to yell and curse at her son, demanding him to remove his face covering.
Baltimore Police urged parents to locate their children and remove them from the streets.
On Monday, Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts urged parents to “take control of your kids, this is our city, let’s make a difference.
