HALIFAX – Divers are heading back into the waters off Peggy’s Cove to search for a man who was swept away.
The search for the 25-year-old Ontario man had been on hold due to rough water conditions.
The man went missing Wednesday afternoon. RCMP said he had been walking with a woman on the rocks near the iconic lighthouse when a large wave pulled him into the water.
Police and firefighters received help from a Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre helicopter and three Coast Guard boats but were unsuccessful in locating the man.
