6 people hospitalized after crashes southeast of Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Multiple people were taken to hospital Saturday after two collisions southeast of Saskatoon. At around 2:30 p.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department was called to a four vehicle crash on Highway 16.

Fire crews arrived at the crash scene west of Clavet and used hydraulic tools to remove the driver of one vehicle and a passenger in another. Four people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP remained on scene to investigate the crash.

An hour before, two people were taken to hospital after another collision two kilometres down the road. Their injuries are also considered to be non-life threatening.

The Saskatoon Fire Department says driving conditions were poor during both crashes.
