EDMONTON — Police are asking for tips from the public after more than half a million dollars worth of jewellery was stolen from a business.
The EPS says the theft took place on April 14 between 3:30 and 6 a.m. at Paris Jewellers near 95 Avenue and 170 Street.
Police say multiple suspects allegedly broke into separate, adjacent businesses before getting into the jewellery store.
The items stolen have a retail value over $500,000.
EPS detectives have already spoken to several witnesses who were in the area that night and are now calling for additional witnesses to step forward.
“In this day and age of connectedness and communication, it is likely someone has or will come across information of value,” said Det. Rae Gerrard.

“If and when these stolen items are circulating and being sold, the price, the sheer volume, or the details of the break and enter may potentially surface. Sometimes it is a partial piece of information that contributes to the overall picture, and we’d like the public to report that information.”
Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567. Anonymous information can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
