REGINA – Regina police say a man found dead in the 600 block of Retallack St. Wednesday night was the victim of homicide.
The 55-year-old man was discovered just before 10 p.m. in a back alley by resident Kaitlin Stankov and her boyfriend.
“I kind of nudged him and said ‘hello are you ok?” she said. “No response, and that’s kind of when I noticed that he passed away.”
Stankov added that she’s is used to crime in the neighborhood but would have never imagined a murder taking place.
“There was trails of blood going to and from his body and there was a pool of blood underneath him.”
Investigators have notified the victim’s family, but his name is not being released.
