VANCOUVER – A free heritage house in North Vancouver is looking for someone to move it to a new home.

The house, believed to be built in 1909, is on East 5th Street. Charan Sethi, owner of Tien Sher Construction Group, is developing the house next door, but says the City of North Vancouver has not asked them to keep this house as part of the development.

So he is looking for someone to take ownership and move the house to a new piece of land.

“Then save that piece of history somewhere else,” he says.

The house, known as the Ward Residence after the original owner, is in good condition but does need some TLC.

Sethi says he is looking for someone to come forward by the end of the month and he will work with them to move the house to a new location.
