HALIFAX- Police are looking for a man after he acted suspiciously towards a mother and her child in a Walmart parking lot Monday.
A woman, who was with a friend, says that a man approached her and offered to help her carry her 20 month-old daughter who was in her arms. The woman refused, but the man took the child from her arms anyway, and proceeded to walk away.
The woman’s friend ran after the man, retrieving the child before he got into a parked car and drove away.
The incident occurred Monday around 1:00 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot, located at 220 Chain Lake Drive.
Police are looking for a suspect described as a 5’10”, white male in his forties with a medium build and a beard, driving a four door sedan.
