RCMP say arson may be behind a morning fire that significantly damaged the former house of Carol King.
Mounties say they, along with Rosetown and Herschel firefighters, were called to the residence north of Herschel, Saskatchewan just before 9:30 Sunday morning.
Officials say the house suffered significant damage to the main living area.

There was also smoke damage throughout the residence.
RCMP say preliminary evidence gathered at the scene points to arson as the cause of the fire.
Investigators continue to sift through the house looking for evidence.
Carol King was first reported missing on August 6th and her vehicle, a PT Cruiser, was found in a slough four days later.
On August 27th, King’s body was found by a farmer in a field near Herschel.
Mounties have called her disappearance and death suspicious and continue to investigate.
Herschel is approximately 130 km west of Saskatoon.
