VANCOUVER – A huge slip-and-slide is coming to North Vancouver this August.
The event was approved by North Vancouver city council to coincide with Car Free Day street festival on Aug. 22.
The slide, designed and run by Slide the City, is 1,000 feet long – more than three football fields. The slide is also padded and people are asked to bring buckets, floaties and non-realistic water guns to the party.
The pricing structure has not been released yet, but in other cities the cost has been around $15 for one ride and a day of sliding can cost about $60.
So far, reaction to the news has been very positive online. What do you think of this idea?
