Body found near Canada Olympic Park identified by Calgary police

CALGARY – Police are investigating a suspicious death near the ski jumps at Canada Olympic Park on Wednesday.

A passerby called police around 2:30 a.m. after they noticed a young male in medical distress in the 8800 block of Olympic Way S.W.

EMS rushed to the scene but say the victim, a man in his mid-20s, was dead when they arrived.

The Homicide Unit has been called in to investigate, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Family has identified the victim as Mohameddek Ali Mohamud, pictured below.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 403-266-1234 or to contact Crime Stoppers.
