POINTE-CLAIRE – The bus terminal at Fairview Pointe-Claire may be searching for a new home in 2016.

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) says it’s considering the move because there are too many buses and not enough parking spaces around the terminal.
Since opening in 1992, more and more people have started using public transit – so much so, that some buses are now parking on Brunswick boulevard.
People often have to cross the Fairview parking lot and sometimes even the six-lane boulevard to get to their bus, causing a danger to pedestrians and extremely heavy traffic in the area.
The STM terminal’s lease ends this November.
