“One male was ejected from the vehicle and has been transported to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance,” said Anna Batchelor, Edmonton Police Service. “The second male sustained serious injuries as well, and was treated and transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services.”

The eastbound lanes of Anthony Henday Drive, between 184 Street and Terwillegar Drive, were shut down to traffic Sunday evening, and westbound traffic was reduced to one lane until after 11 p.m.

The eastbound lanes were re-opened early Monday morning.

The EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit is investigating, but officers believe speed was a factor in the collision.
