HALIFAX- Police are asking the public for their help in locating 24-year-old Nicco Alexander Smith in connection with a break and enter.
Halifax Regional Police responded to Connor Lane on January 1 around 5:40 am, after a resident called police to report a man had broken in the front door of the residence and ran away with a stolen cell phone. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful.

Police say that this was not a random incident and the resident was not injured.
A warrant for Smith was issued January 16. He is charged with break and enter, possession of stolen goods under $5,000 and four breaches of previously imposed court orders.
Smith is described as a black man, 6’, 220 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Police believe he is in HRM at this time.
