WINNIPEG – Hundreds of people across Canada gathered Saturday afternoon to bring attention to missing and murdered indigenous women, including a group in Winnipeg.
This year marked the eighth annual women’s memorial march.

The group started with a prayer for those who have gone missing, then marched around the University of Winnipeg site.
Many in attendance had a personal connection or a lost a loved a loved one.
The goal was to create a voice for those who no longer have one and stop violence against women.
