One man is dead after an incident at an oilfield lease site north of Rocky Mountain House.
Rocky Mountain House RCMP and EMS were called to the site, which is located on Buster Creek Road, on Friday, November 25th early in the morning.

A worker was pinned to the ground by the pumpjack he was working on.
Another employee had successfully freed the man, but was unable to revive him.
According to an RCMP release, the man was an experienced oilfield worker in his early 50’s from the Rocky Mountain House area. His name is not being released.
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.
As of November 2nd, there were 24 workplace fatalities in the province.
