Watermain break floods homes in High Park

TORONTO – Residents in a High Park neighbourhood woke up this morning to flooded basements after a burst watermain sent water gushing into their homes.

At least one homeowner in the Bloor and Parkside Drive area says she’s frustrated by the lack of urgency from city crews.

“It’s like Niagara Falls coming through our front porch,” said resident Kelly Hoey. “We live on a hill and so many people are going to be impacted by this.”

After contacting the city, residents have been told it could be a few hours before crews get the water under control.
