Today is the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, and memorial services are being held in Europe and around the world.
The camp was the site of one of the world’s greatest tragedies over the less than five years of its existence. Global News has put together some figures to show what happened there.
