Recall expanded on Woody’s vodka beverages in Alberta

EDMONTON – The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission has expanded a national recall on a line of vodka drinks.

The original recall last week affected only Woody’s brand Mexican Lime Alcoholic Vodka Beverage.

But Alberta now says all types of Woody’s vodka beverages must be removed from liquor store shelves.

The liquor commission says the drinks must also be removed from bars, pubs, clubs, lounges and restaurants.

The original recall was ordered because glass particles were found in some bottles in Manitoba and Ontario.

The drinks were sold in packages of four 330 ml. bottles.

Consumers should return the product to where they bought it for a refund.
