Manitoba NDP delegates can vote by mail

WINNIPEG – NDP delegates from across Manitoba will be able to vote for their party leader by mail.

It was a close vote to allow the electronic and mail in ballots. Fifty-six executive council members voted in favour while 50 were against the motion.

The decision was made earlier Saturday, reversing a previous rule that all delegates needed to cast their ballot in person.

On March 8 delegates will vote for their leader. The race includes Theresa Oswald, Steve Ashton and Premier Greg Selinger.
