WINNIPEG – A 34-year-old man from Lorette, Man., has died after he drove a snowmobile into an embankment Sunday on Pineridge Road in the rural municipality of Springfield.
Emergency services responded to a report about the crash at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, and RCMP news release said.

RCMP believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. An RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist is helping to investigate.
“RCMP urge snowmobile operators to be mindful of their route, proceed with caution when travelling in unknown areas and always ride sober,” the news release said.
Police are not releasing the man’s name.
