KELOWNA– Fire crews rushed to the scene of a garage fire in Kelowna early Monday evening.
The call came in about 6:15 pm of a fire in a detached structure on Carruthers Street, just off of Sutherland Road.

Crews extinguished the flames and then dealt with large amounts of smoke seeping from the building.
There was concern the fire would spread to another garage next door, but any damage to that building appears to be minor.
No word yet on a cause.
