WATCH: A Burnaby father was in court today to be sentenced for threatening a nine-year-old boy. Rumina Daya reports.
A hockey dad from Burnaby was given a conditional discharge for threatening to kill a nine-year-old on his son’s hockey team, but will not go to jail and could avoid a criminal record.
Terry Litt was given his sentence today, which included 12 months probation.
According to evidence presented, Bhala punched Litt’s son during an argument after a game in North Vancouver last year.
When Litt found out what happened, he went up to Bhala in the change room and said “Don’t touch my f***ing kid or I’ll kill you,” repeating it at least twice.
Bhala has been seeing a counsellor since.
Litt pleaded guilty to the charges against him, but ignored questions from Global News as he left the courtroom.
