KELOWNA — Passengers flying out of Kelowna via WestJet have run into some turbulence.
The airline says it ran out of de-icing fluid Monday forcing it to cancel several flights.
WestJet says more de-icing fluid is being rushed to Kelowna.

It says 10 flights have been cancelled today because of the fluid shortage.
“Heavy winter weather resulted in an unexpected increase in the amount of de-icing fluid needed to operate,” says media relations spokesperson, Brie Ogle.
WestJet says it has added eight extra flights out of Kelowna tomorrow.
The airline says it’s trying to accommodate affected air travellers.
The Kelowna airport wants to re-assure travellers that its own de-icing station is not running out of fluid that it uses for runways and taxiways.
